The Spruce View Skating Club provides different levels of skating through Fun Team Alberta!
Learn To Skate (3+ years)
A 30 minute non-parented class for children ages 3 and up who have not had any significant time on skates. It is designed to introduce children to the ice and help them become comfortable. This program teaches children the basics of how to get up when they fall down, how to move forward, basic backward movement and how to stop. Music, toys and games are used to help children feel ready to take the next step.
Fun Skate
A 1 hour lesson designed for those children ages 5 and up who can work independently within a group lesson. A comprehensive series of balance, control and agility skills designed to prepare skaters for all ice sports requiring skates, as well as recreational skating.
Dance Skate
The level to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skills, free skate and artistic skating.
Skating starts first Wednesday after Thanksgiving. Skating days are on Mondays and Wednesdays.
